What Elle Says About Joe
Joe is an amazing father. As a teacher, he has years of experience with kids of all ages, which helped to prepare him for the arrival of our son, Alex. He is caring, thoughtful, fun and firm at the same time.
In addition to being a great Dad, he is an excellent role model. Whether it be teaching our son how to swim, read books, or helping me with everyday tasks such as cooking and preparing for school, Joe is patient and supportive. Alex prides himself on dressing like Daddy!
Apart from our family activities, Joe is also a musician, athlete and afterschool coach. I know that the happiness and well-being of both our immediate and extended families will continue to be his top priority!

Joe's Favorite Things

Spending time with the Family
Joe is a laid-back, quiet person who enjoys spending time at home with the family.
He also enjoys providing Alex with the opportunity to have as many different types of experiences as possible, such as by teaching him how to swim.
He especially prides himself on creating fun-filled itineraries when we travel to visit our families abroad.
Music
A love of music is part of Joe's DNA as he comes from a family of musicians. His father is a music teacher, his sister plays the piano and his uncle (Mother's brother) was a composer.
Joe started with playing the piano, taught himself to play the guitar and eventually settled on the Bass as his primary instrument.
As a hobby, he has played in bands which featured various genres such as classical music, rock, heavy metal, jazz and big band.
When shows are held in the park, Elle and Alex are in the front row dancing and supporting Daddy.

Sports
Joe is a sports enthusiast. In his home in Germany, he enjoyed participating in various sporting events so when it came time for him to decide what to study at the university, a major in Sports Science was a natural choice.
He moved to the United States where he has been a physical education teacher for over 15 years. In addition to teaching PE, Joe enjoys biking 45 minutes to school every day.
He has also been running for many years, including participating in the Berlin and New York marathons various times.
When not teaching or participating in sports, Joe also enjoys watching the NFL Red Zone, basketball games and the Olympic games.
Traveling
Joe began traveling with family at an early age and has visited over 20 countries.
However, his favorite place to travel is back home to meet up with his family and best friend, Markos, where they revisit stories of their younger years like when Joe missed the last night train and decided to walk home - for several hours!
No trip back home is complete without visiting his mother and grandmothers' graves. His mother died of cancer when he was a teenager so he was raised by his father and grandmother.
