All About Alex

Alex is a kind, happy and energetic boy. He enjoys riding his scooter, trains and traveling. So far, he has traveled to Greece, Ireland, England, Germany and Bermuda and throughout the US. He understands English, Spanish and German but prefers to speak in English.

Alex loves all things trains and space. He knows just about every stop on every train in New York and enjoys riding trains in countries that he visits. He also enjoys learning about space and visiting space museums in various countries.

He loves playing with his friends during playdates, in the park, at community or church events and especially during birthday parties. He is a great swimmer and enjoys gymnastics.

Alex wants a dog, but what he desires most is to always have a happy family.

Alex's Favorite Things

Trains

Alex loves all things trains.

We didn't even know that he knew how to spell until at 3 1/2 years old, he spelled his very first word to everyone's surprise - "James" from Thomas the Train.

He is a little engineer and spends hours building wooden and plastic tracks.

During COVID, hours were spent watching trains come and go so now from far away he can tell what train it is only by hearing its whistle!

In addition to building trains, he loves riding the subway, metro or U-bahn in countries that we visit.

On his I-Pad he likes to watch trains and recently discovered Roblox where he can create his own subway system.

Solar System

One day, on our way to school, Alex heard a song about the solar system.

For several weeks he listened to that same song over and over again.

From there, he became more curious about the solar system and read books and watched videos until he knew almost every detail about the planets.

In addition to train museums, he has also visited planetariums in New York, London and Germany. When Elle had a conference for work in Florida, the entire family went. Was Alex interested in anything Disney? Nope.

Alex spent time in the pool and of course at the Space Center at Cape Kennedy in Florida.

Other Activities

Alex likes to be active. His favorite indoor thing to do is to go to gymnastics class. On a weekly basis he attends gymnastic class and goes to gymnastic camps when school is closed on breaks.

His favorite outdoor activity is riding his scooter in the park no matter the weather. Alex loves his scooter. He rides very fast and even high school kids on scooters can't keep up with him!
